Typical

You have this power

That I’ll never be able to touch

And that’s because I don’t look like you

And that’s already hard enough.

On Top

The cold air crawls on my face

My goose bumps forms goosebumps under my many layers of clothing

My hands finds a home deep in the warmth of coat pockets

But that all goes away when I’m at the top, my heart stops

That view, the whole city below my feet, a fire is now inside me

I forget to breath but my eyes still wonder

At that view, oh that view is what can take my heart away.

Oh Shoot

The natural sounds occupy my room

My mind is quiet during the depths of the night

The winter air can’t compete with the security under my blanket.

The heaviness of my eyes is taking over

Oh shoot, I need to do my homework.

Capture

Click to capture this beautiful moment

A genuine smile is permanent across my face

My heart feels full with the sweet sight I see

Filled with all the people who will never judge me

But soon we’ll have to disperse

I’m not sure when I’ll see you again

Probably tomorrow, next month, maybe in the next 10 years

So let’s enjoy this moment

Capture with our minds,

Click and remember this forever.

Forget me

My mind spins and spins

It doesn’t seem like it’ll stop

I can’t remember, I can’t remember.
